Shortly after the Second World War, Steyr introduced its first agricultural tractor, the 26 hp model 180, which was manufactured using the assembly equipment for its trucks. The follow-up model, the Steyr 80, marked the beginning of its unstoppable rise to become Austria's most important tractor manufacturer. Innovative concepts also increased demand abroad. In the mid-1990s, Case Corporation took over the tractor brand; today it belongs to CNH Global. Ulf Kaack describes the success story of the red tractors up to the present day and provides an overview of all tractor types, including technical data. 128 pages.
