Steyr Type Compass Tractors 1947-1993

Shortly after the Second World War, Steyr introduced its first agricultural tractor, the 26 hp model 180, which was manufactured using the assembly equipment for its trucks. The follow-up model, the Steyr 80, marked the beginning of its unstoppable rise to become Austria's most important tractor manufacturer. Innovative concepts also increased demand abroad. In the mid-1990s, Case Corporation took over the tractor brand; today it belongs to CNH Global.
