With DIN ISO 730-1 from 1994, the dimensions and bolt thicknesses of the three-point mounting were standardized and divided into categories 0 to 4. 🚜
In the past, tractors were equipped with lower link eyes, while new models are mostly equipped with lower link catch hooks. In addition to the bolts, these also require attachable balls or catch shells (analogous to the attachment category). However, the categorization itself has not changed.
Here are the dimensions according to the valid DIN standard:
Category 0 (tractors under 20 hp / 15 kW)
Category 1 (tractors under 48 hp / 35 kW)
Category 2 (tractors under 100 hp / 75 kW)
Category 3 (tractors under 230 hp / 168 kW)
Please note that the distance between the two lower link mounts can usually be adjusted using chains, threaded rods or plug-in perforated rails attached to the side of the lower link. 🔧 This is necessary because most manufacturers develop attachments for two consecutive attachment categories (e.g. category I and II). Plug-in or stepped bolts are used or sleeves are put on the existing bolts to reach the next higher attachment category.
Since the distance between category I and II differs by only 152 mm , this can usually be easily compensated by adjusting the lateral limit brackets of the lower links.
