Steyr 288 tractor engine type WD406 – The all-rounder for larger farms
The Steyr 288 was the second tractor based on the new concept and featured a powerful four-cylinder engine with 45 hp at 2400 rpm. In contrast to the two-cylinder type 188, the 288 had significantly smaller cylinder dimensions (BH 92/100 mm) and a higher speed, making it an ideal all-round tractor for larger farms.
