Steyr 8065 (a): The versatile tractor for grassland farms
The Steyr 8065 (a) was introduced in 1986 and was technically identical to the Steyr 8060 Turbo. In addition to rear-wheel and all-wheel drive variants, a narrow-track version with both drive systems was also available. In 1988, Steyr discontinued the standard version of the 8065 in favor of the 8060, which was produced in parallel. From then on, the 8065 (a) was marketed primarily as a cost-effective tractor for grassland and maintenance work.
A special feature of the model was its lower center of gravity, which made it particularly suitable for use on slopes. To emphasize this feature, the 8065 was given the additional designation "RS-2."
