The Steyr 8000 Series: A revolution in the small tractor segment
In 1988, the Steyr 8000 series compact tractors underwent a comprehensive redesign. The new Steyr RS2 models featured a modernized cab that significantly improved driving comfort. The gearshift was strategically positioned to the right of the driver, making operation easier.
A special highlight of this series were the narrow-track versions , which were specially developed for viticulture, fruit and vegetable cultivation. Compared to the previous series, the 8045 , 8055 Turbo , and 8085 models joined the new product line, setting new standards in performance and efficiency.
The transmission of the Steyr 8000 series could be optionally equipped with a powershift stage—a feature available except for the smallest model. In addition to the standard version with a top speed of 30 km/h, a more powerful version capable of up to 40 km/h was also available.
In Great Britain, the models 8065 , 8075 and 8085 were offered under the name Marshall, which further increased their popularity on the international market.
